Railroad car ferry "Chief Wawatam" awaits the arrival of the Soo Line train from Trout Lake as the early morning sun rises.

Everything in ths shot is gone now. The Chief Wawatam (a steam powered railroad car ferry), the Soo Line and the GP-30.

The coal fired, steam powered, car ferry Chief Wawatam is being loaded by Soo Line GP-30 708 at the St. Ignace dock in June of 1979.
